Grab your place on the slopes for the most unique high altitude rock festival in the world. From the 19th -25th  March you will have chance to experience some of the best new live bands, club nights like you have never experienced before and all based in the spectacular setting of the Portes du Soleil area along the French – Swiss border.

Each day from just after midday sees a DJ getting the crowd in the mood before the free concert from one of the bands that are headlining this year on the slopes in various locations. The confirmed acts performing on each day so far are:

19 March – Morgins – Matmatah

20 March – Châtel – Chinese Man

23 March- Avoriaz – Rag’n Bone Man

24 March – Les Gets Morzine – Caravan Palace

25 March – Champéry les Crozets – Julian Perretta

Each venue is set in the heart of the best skiing area of the region and has the stunning backdrop of the French – Swiss Alps to accent the music. But the party doesn’t stop when the bands finish their set; there are also over 50 après-ski concerts in the resorts to look out for as well as a hidden treasure hunt on the slopes that will have you searching to win Portes du Soleil ski passes that have been sponsored by Sikkens.

To get access to the free concerts, which by the way take place at around 1,600 metres altitude, you will need a valid ski pass for that day, so as well as having a great day skiing you are also getting an exclusive concert unlike no other. There is also a chance to buy one ticket and get one free from the official website at http://en.rockthepistes.com/concert-ski-pass.html
That all sounds great, I hear you cry, but I can’t ski!

Well you don’t have to worry about that as the organisers have even arranged for beginners to have their own ski instructor for the day to make sure that you don’t miss out on all the fun. You can opt for one to one tuition with a private ski guide (if your budget allows!), but there are also cheaper options locally for group tuition if you want to learn the basics with friends before enjoying the party.

If you’re not worried about the skiing why not go for the B-VIP experience. For €130 you get the ski pass to your area of choice, VIP area access and a chance to mix with the band and DJ’s, buffet and drinks (alcoholic and soft drinks), an exclusive VIP Rock The Pistes souvenir and also your parking costs refunded.

The Rock The Pistes Festival is now in its seventh year and with attendances that reach 28,000 you know that you will be in for a great party both day and night. When this is mixed with one of the finest ski regions in Europe, if not the world, then you have all the elements for one of the best times of your life.

What are you waiting for?
